Devon Saigon dahlia rooted cuttings bring rich rose-pink blooms, magenta shading, and softly highlighted petals to the cutting garden. Bred by Charles Smith in Tasmania, Australia, this miniature formal decorative combines beautifully layered flowers with strong stems and productive flowering.

Full Description

Devon Saigon has her pink wardrobe figured out: rose, raspberry, a little magenta—and absolutely no intention of dressing quietly.

Broad, rounded petals overlap in orderly layers, while the younger petals curl into little cups around the center. Rich pink coloring deepens toward magenta, with paler shading adding dimension to individual petals. The result is a rounded, fully double flower with plenty of detail to admire up close.

This Australian dahlia was bred by Charles Smith of St Helens, Tasmania. Classified as a miniature formal decorative, Devon Saigon offers a tidy flower shape that lends itself beautifully to bouquets and mixed arrangements.

Grower reports consistently praise her cutting qualities. Strong stems, productive flowering, and a plant height around 4 feet make her an appealing choice for gardeners who want flowers for both the garden and the vase. Pair her with pale blush and cream for a softer arrangement, or let those rich pink tones mingle with burgundy and purple.

Moose’s Take

Those cupped petals and layers of rose-pink shading are what catch my eye. Devon Saigon has enough color to carry a bouquet, with softer highlights that keep the flower interesting when you get close. She’s a lovely choice for anyone whose cutting garden could use a little more pink—and whose definition of “a little” is negotiable.

Shipping & Delivery

Rooted cuttings ship April 1 – May 15 via UPS 2nd Day Air. Orders are shipped when plants are ready and weather conditions are appropriate for safe travel. Because of the volume of orders we process during shipping season, orders cannot be combined. You’ll receive tracking information when your order ships.

What You'll Receive

You’ll receive a healthy, actively growing rooted dahlia cutting that has been professionally propagated and grown by Dapper Dahlias By Moose.

Once fully rooted, the plant is removed from its growing container with the rooted propagation plug intact, then carefully bagged and packed for shipping. Your cutting will arrive ready to be potted up or planted after appropriate acclimation.

Because these are live plants, size and appearance will naturally vary from plant to plant.

Before You Order

Please review our Terms & Conditions before ordering. Because we grow live plants specifically for the shipping season, orders cannot be canceled or combined.

When your cutting arrives, open the package promptly and inspect the plant. Any concerns with your order must be reported within 3 days of delivery and include photos.

Rooted cuttings have been grown in protected greenhouse conditions and will need to be gradually acclimated to outdoor conditions before planting outside.

By placing an order, you agree to our Terms & Conditions.
