Devon Salmon is an Australian-bred decorative dahlia with beautifully layered blooms in soft salmon pink, blush and dusty rose. The color deepens toward the center, while the outer petals often soften into pale blush and creamy peach. The result is one of those hard-to-describe muted colors that seems tailor-made for wedding work and sophisticated floral palettes.

Bred by Charles Smith of Tasmania, Devon Salmon is more than just a pretty flower. Australian growers consistently describe it as an excellent cutting variety with long, strong stems and prolific flower production—and our plants have shown the same traits in the Dapper field. It produces tall plants with blooms held nicely above the foliage, making it an especially useful variety for cutting and floral design. Multiple Australian sources identify it as a miniature decorative and specifically connect the Devon line to Charles Smith of Tasmania.

Rooted cuttings ship April 1 – May 15 via UPS 2nd Day Air. Orders are shipped when plants are ready and weather conditions are appropriate for safe travel. Because of the volume of orders we process during shipping season, orders cannot be combined. You’ll receive tracking information when your order ships.

What You'll Receive

You’ll receive a healthy, actively growing rooted dahlia cutting that has been professionally propagated and grown by Dapper Dahlias By Moose.

Once fully rooted, the plant is removed from its growing container with the rooted propagation plug intact, then carefully bagged and packed for shipping. Your cutting will arrive ready to be potted up or planted after appropriate acclimation.

Because these are live plants, size and appearance will naturally vary from plant to plant.

Please review our Terms & Conditions before ordering. Because we grow live plants specifically for the shipping season, orders cannot be canceled or combined.

When your cutting arrives, open the package promptly and inspect the plant. Any concerns with your order must be reported within 3 days of delivery and include photos.

Rooted cuttings have been grown in protected greenhouse conditions and will need to be gradually acclimated to outdoor conditions before planting outside.
