Eden Alice is a refined exhibition-quality dahlia bred by Lou Paradise of San Francisco, California, a hybridizer well known within the West Coast dahlia community. Officially classified as a Miniature Formal Decorative, this variety produces beautifully sculpted white blooms measuring roughly 3–4 inches across, with the crisp symmetry and tight petal arrangement that judges love to see on the show bench.

Although it had been evaluated as a seedling in earlier bench trials, Eden Alice burst onto the national scene in 2024, when it earned the Lynn B. Dudley Medal for the Miniature class, one of the American Dahlia Society’s top awards for new varieties. For a newly introduced dahlia to take home that honor right out of the gate is a pretty strong signal that something special is going on.

Beyond the show bench, growers have noted that Eden Alice is an exceptionally productive plant, capable of producing multiple high-quality blooms from a single plant suitable for exhibition entries.
