Eden Monique Dahlia
Eden Monique apparently heard that subtlety was an option and immediately decided it wasn’t for her.
With vibrant coral-pink petals, raspberry-red markings, and warm golden-yellow highlights tucked inside those tightly curled petals, Eden Monique is a little explosion of color wrapped up in a beautifully rounded bloom.
Bred by Lou Paradise in California, this American-bred Miniature Ball dahlia has the kind of intricate petal arrangement that makes you wonder whether someone has been individually rolling each petal by hand. The petals curl into little tubes, creating layers of color and texture that become even more fascinating the closer you look.
And the coloring? That’s where Eden Monique really earns her place in the garden.
Depending on the bloom and its stage of development, the flowers can display everything from saturated raspberry-pink and warm coral to flashes of salmon and golden yellow. The contrasting colors are particularly striking inside the curled petals, giving the blooms an almost glowing appearance.
Eden Monique is officially classified as Red by the American Dahlia Society, although its photographic appearance can be considerably more complex than that single classification suggests.
This variety also has some impressive credentials. Eden Monique was evaluated through the American Dahlia Society’s seedling program, receiving a score of 86.239 in the 2023 report. Recorded flowers measured approximately 3¼ inches across, giving it the compact, rounded form characteristic of miniature ball dahlias.
Whether you’re growing for the garden, cutting flowers for arrangements, or simply collecting unusual American-bred varieties, Eden Monique brings a distinctive combination of color, texture, and personality.

Moose’s Take
Eden Monique looks like somebody took a raspberry, dipped it in a tropical sunset, and then spent the afternoon curling every petal with a tiny curling iron.
It’s a ridiculous amount of personality packed into a three-inch flower.
And if you’re anything like me, you’ll probably spend entirely too much time staring at those little curled petals instead of doing whatever you actually went out to the garden to accomplish.
Productivity is overrated. Dahlias aren’t.
