Formby Louisa Dahlia
Apparently, someone in Tasmania decided that yellow, peach, pink, and cream should all attend the same garden party.
And Formby Louisa showed up wearing every color.
Part of the celebrated Australian Formby family of dahlias associated with breeder George Harding, Formby Louisa is a Small Decorative variety with warm, blended coloring that can shift noticeably between blooms.
Australian growers describe buttery-yellow and cream petals touched with peach, apricot, and salmon-pink tones. Rather than presenting one solid color, Louisa offers a soft, painted appearance, with warmer shades gathering around the petals and creating a wonderfully layered effect.
The variety's Decorative form and gentle color transitions make it particularly appealing for gardeners who appreciate warm pastels, peach-toned arrangements, and Australian-bred dahlias.
Formby Louisa also carries a bit of breeding history. The Formby program produced numerous well-regarded cultivars, and Australian horticultural accounts identify Louisa among the family-named introductions associated with George Harding's breeding legacy.

Moose's Take
Formby Louisa apparently couldn't decide between yellow, peach, pink, and cream.
So she chose all four.
I respect that kind of commitment to avoiding difficult decisions.
It's also why the Moose shouldn't be allowed to shop for dahlias without adult supervision.
One variety becomes twelve, and suddenly we're discussing where to build another greenhouse.
