Hapet Elite Dahlia

Hapet Elite has been making other pink dahlias look underdressed since 2008.

Bred in Austria by Peter Haslhofer, Hapet Elite is a graceful Waterlily dahlia with approximately 4–5 inch blooms floating above plants that generally reach around 3.5–4.5 feet.

The coloring is where Elite earns its name. Rosy pink petals blend through creamy-white tones toward a warm yellow base, with the intensity shifting from richer hot pink to softer pastel shades depending on the bloom and growing conditions. The broad, gently cupped Waterlily petals give the flower an elegant, open appearance that feels polished without being overly formal.

Introduced in 2008, Hapet Elite has been grown internationally for years and remains a standout among Peter Haslhofer’s Austrian Hapet introductions.

It’s equally at home bringing soft color to the garden or floating elegantly through a bouquet—although good stem management and deep cutting can help produce the longer stems floral growers are after.
