Bred by Peter Haslhofer in Austria, Hapet Solo is a spectacular giant-flowered decorative dahlia that proves white flowers can command just as much attention as their brightly colored neighbors.

Its enormous blooms feature layers of broad, pointed ivory-white petals surrounding an extraordinary center of narrower, curled petals. A subtle buttery-yellow glow radiates from the heart of each flower, adding warmth and dimension without taking away from its elegant white appearance.

And then there’s the size. With blooms reaching approximately 8–9 inches across, Hapet Solo isn’t exactly interested in being a background player. This is a dahlia that walks into the garden, takes center stage, and politely asks the other flowers to move over.

The unusual petal arrangement gives Hapet Solo a distinctive personality. Rather than forming a perfectly uniform decorative bloom, its tightly curled inner petals create fascinating texture and movement, making each flower worth a second look.

Growing approximately 4–4½ feet tall, Hapet Solo makes a dramatic addition to cutting gardens, dahlia collections, and mixed flower borders. Its soft white coloring also pairs beautifully with practically anything else you decide to plant nearby.

Hapet Solo is proof that you don’t need flashy colors to be the center of attention. Between its enormous ivory-white blooms and those wonderfully unusual curled centers, this one has more personality than a white flower has any business having. It’s elegant, dramatic, and just a little eccentric. Basically, it’s wearing a tuxedo but forgot to comb its hair. And somehow, it works.
