La Bohème Dahlia
La Bohème is proof that a dahlia doesn't need to shout to get noticed. With creamy-white petals delicately edged in soft mauve and lavender, this French beauty has an elegant, romantic appearance that looks like someone took a perfectly lovely white flower and gave it just the right amount of attitude.
Associated with the Ernest Turc dahlia program in France, La Bohème is classified as a dwarf decorative dahlia, producing beautifully layered blooms approximately 4–5 inches across. The pale petals and gentle mauve edging create a soft contrast that gives the flower plenty of character without overwhelming its delicate coloring.
Plants are reported to reach approximately 2½–3 feet tall, making La Bohème a more compact option than many taller decorative dahlias. Its rounded, full blooms bring a refined touch to garden beds and containers, while the subtle white-and-mauve palette makes it a lovely choice for bouquets and floral arrangements.
La Bohème has the kind of coloring that works beautifully alongside blush pinks, lavender, cream, and other soft-toned dahlias. It's understated without being ordinary, elegant without being fussy, and just French enough to make the rest of the flower garden feel slightly underdressed.

Moose's Take
La Bohème sounds like it should be sipping espresso at a sidewalk café in Paris, discussing art and judging tourists.
Instead, it's growing in a dahlia patch in Utah.
The Moose doesn't speak much French, but he's pretty sure ooh la la is the appropriate response.
