🌸 Full Product Description
✨ Dahlia ‘Rhubarb & Custard’ — A Sweet Treat in Bloom Form
From world-renowned hybridizer Keith Hammett (New Zealand), Rhubarb & Custard is as whimsical as its name suggests. Inspired by the much-loved dessert, this variety captures the same ruby red and custard-yellow contrast in bloom form. Its collarette structure shows off broad red outer petals surrounding a fluffy yellow collar, giving a cheerful, two-layered effect.
Blooms measure about 4–5″ across, sitting comfortably in the “medium” category, while plants reach ~4 ft tall. Despite its playful look, this is no novelty one-hit wonder — it’s a reliable garden performer with blooms that stand out across the season.
And for The Gardening Moose, it’s basically a flower sundae — one that won’t melt and doesn’t come with a sticky face afterward.
