Sandia Serenity Dahlia

Some dahlias make a dramatic entrance. Sandia Serenity prefers to float into the garden looking like it has never experienced a stressful day in its life.

Introduced by American hybridizers Steve and Sandy Boley in 2006, Sandia Serenity is a Waterlily dahlia combining creamy yellow and soft ivory tones with a delicate lavender blush toward the petal tips.

Its gently layered Waterlily form gives the blooms an elegant, open appearance, with broad petals arranged around a softly glowing center. The lavender coloration adds a subtle finishing touch, particularly when viewed against the warmer yellow tones near the heart of the flower.

Grower descriptions place the blooms at approximately 5 inches across on plants reaching about 4 feet tall. The result is a variety with enough presence for the garden but a soft, refined appearance that also lends itself beautifully to floral arrangements.

Sandia Serenity is especially appealing to gardeners who appreciate Waterlily dahlias, pastel color combinations, and flowers that offer something new every time the light changes.

Moose's Take

Serenity. Peace. Tranquility.

Three things the Moose occasionally experiences in the garden.

Usually right before discovering that the irrigation timer has quit, the grasshoppers have arrived, or somebody has mislabeled a dahlia.

Fortunately, Sandia Serenity looks calm enough for both of us.

The Moose approves.

Shipping & Delivery

Rooted cuttings ship April 1 – May 15 via UPS 2nd Day Air. Orders are shipped when plants are ready and weather conditions are appropriate for safe travel. Because of the volume of orders we process during shipping season, orders cannot be combined. You’ll receive tracking information when your order ships.

What You'll Receive

You’ll receive a healthy, actively growing rooted dahlia cutting that has been professionally propagated and grown by Dapper Dahlias By Moose.

Once fully rooted, the plant is removed from its growing container with the rooted propagation plug intact, then carefully bagged and packed for shipping. Your cutting will arrive ready to be potted up or planted after appropriate acclimation.

Because these are live plants, size and appearance will naturally vary from plant to plant.

Before You Order

Please review our Terms & Conditions before ordering. Because we grow live plants specifically for the shipping season, orders cannot be canceled or combined.

When your cutting arrives, open the package promptly and inspect the plant. Any concerns with your order must be reported within 3 days of delivery and include photos.

Rooted cuttings have been grown in protected greenhouse conditions and will need to be gradually acclimated to outdoor conditions before planting outside.

By placing an order, you agree to our Terms & Conditions.
